Rainwater Harvesting System
In 2024, Albany Water Systems supplied and commissioned a compact above-ground rainwater harvesting system for the Festival Phase-1
development in Vaughan, Ontario. The system was designed to collect and reuse roof runoff from the residential towers, supporting the site’s green building initiatives and reducing reliance on municipal water for non-potable applications such as landscape irrigation and cooling tower make-up.
System Highlights
- Above-ground storage tank with inlet strainer, overflow, and level monitoring
- cartridge filtration unit for fine particulate removal and improved water clarity
- Single stainless-steel multistage booster pump with pressure control for automatic operation
- Control panel with level sensor and pump control logic for start/stop, alarm, and manual override functions
- Factory-assembled and pre-tested skid package for quick installation and minimal site work
Designed for simplicity and reliability, this rainwater system provides efficient operation, low maintenance, and consistent performance, making it ideal for large multi-building developments.
This project demonstrates Albany Water Systems’ capability to deliver custom-tailored water reuse solutions that combine practical design, space efficiency, and sustainability for modern urban projects.
